Your Identity in Christનમૂનો

Two kingdoms
When you read the Bible, you see that there are two kingdoms. Not physical, literal kingdoms but spiritual kingdoms.
God’s Kingdom is the first kingdom.
Additionally, there is the realm of the darkness, the second kingdom.
You can find this in Matthew 12.
In Matthew 12:22, we read that Jesus casts out a demon.
The Pharisees accuse Him of doing this by Beelzebub, the ruler of the demons.
Jesus knows their thoughts and answers in Matthew 12:25-26:
‘Every kingdom divided against itself is brought to desolation, and every city or house divided against itself will not stand. If Satan casts out Satan, he is divided against himself. How then will his kingdom stand?’
So, in this part, you can read that ‘Satan’ has a kingdom.
Two verses later, Jesus speaks of the Kingdom of God.
Matthew 12:28
‘But if I cast out demons by the Spirit of God, surely the kingdom of God has come upon you.’
So, two kingdoms.
Before Christ, before your rebirth, you lived in sin and you weren’t even aware of it. You were under the power of the god of this world. You were subject to the evil one, bound in darkness as a slave to sin. And without being born again, born of water and Spirit, you can’t see or enter the Kingdom of God (John 3:3-6).
But something has changed.
You accepted Jesus as Lord and Savior.
You are born again.
And you are pulled out of the power of darkness and transferred into the Kingdom of the Son (Colossians 1:13).
Now, you are placed in His light.
Now, you can see and enter into the Kingdom of God.
Hallelujah! Isn’t that fantastic news? Meditate on that today.
Tomorrow, we will look deeper into what happened when you accepted Jesus.
