Prayers for Those Who Don't Know Jesusનમૂનો

Day 1: For everyone, everywhere to see God’s glory
For the earth will be filled
with the knowledge of the Lord’s glory,
as the water covers the sea.
Habakkuk 2:14
Today’s prayer is a BIG prayer. In Habakkuk 2, this one sentence comes in the middle of a series of warnings. It’s a statement of what will happen when God’s people do things God’s way.
The video in today’s devotional will guide you through praying this passage. As you pray, pray for people by name. But also pray for everyone, everywhere to come to know God in all his glory.
Habakkuk 2:14 gives us a BIG vision to pray. First, “For the earth will be filled.” We can pray for everyone, everywhere to know God’s glory. God’s heart is for all of his children to come home. Our heart, after our Father’s heart, is for all people to know God’s love and redemptive plan for them.
Second, we pray for people to have knowledge, to come to an understanding of the greatness of God. The reality is that the earth is already filled with God’s glory, but not everyone is knowledgeable about it. Not everyone is aware. So we pray that people will come to an understanding of God’s glory.
Third, we pray for knowledge of God’s glory. We don’t want people to just know about God but to have firsthand knowledge of him to see how glorious he truly is. God’s glory is about who he is and what he does. His glory is revealed most clearly through Jesus, and it is he whom we proclaim to the world.

About this Plan

This five-day devotional uses a scriptural foundation to focus on praying for those who do not know Jesus. If we are intentional and consistent in praying, we will see many people open their hearts to Jesus.
