Reading With the People of God - #4 Comfortનમૂનો

Today's prayer of illumination:
Lord, thank you for your comfort. Heavenly Father, thank you for your patience and faithfulness, even when I wander. Holy Spirit, you are the promised counselor. As I read your Word, you lead me to Jesus and show me how my king is calling me to live. Show me the way! Jesus, may your kingdom come, and your will be done in my life today! In the name of the Father, in the name of the Son, and in the name of the Holy Spirit, Amen.
Memorization Challenge of the Month:
Heidelberg Catechism Q&A 1
Q1. What is your only comfort in life and in death?
A1. That I am not my own, but belong— body and soul, in life and in death— to my faithful Savior, Jesus Christ.
He has fully paid for all my sins with his precious blood, and has set me free from the tyranny of the devil. He also watches over me in such a way that not a hair can fall from my head without the will of my Father in heaven; in fact, all things must work together for my salvation.
Because I belong to him, Christ, by his Holy Spirit, assures me of eternal life and makes me wholeheartedly willing and ready from now on to live for him.
About this Plan

This is the fourth part of a reading plan through the Bible following the lectionary pattern of reading in the Psalms, Old Testament, and New Testament each day. In addition, this part of the plan will also focus on our only comfort in life and death from questions 1 & 2 of the Heidelberg Catechism.
