Life & Teachings of Jesus - Day 9

Jesus regularly turned cultural traditions upside-down, and he did it with love. When he spoke to the Samaritan woman at the well, he broke multiple societal norms in a single conversation. He was a man speaking to a woman—scandalous! He was a Jew speaking to a Samaritan—shocking! He spoke of worshiping God with your heart without being in the temple—mind-blowing!

But Jesus didn’t break all these rules just to be the next big thing. He did it so that woman would know she was loved by God. And Jesus died on the cross so you would know the same. Do you feel like you don’t fit in? Do you feel dirty and ugly? Do you feel unloved and unlovable? Know this—you are loved by the almighty God, and Jesus died to prove it.
