Life & Teachings of Jesus - Day 18

When Josiah became king of Judah, the temple was cleaned, and they found the law of God—a long-lost book no one remembered. When Jesus was born, it took wise men from the Far East to read the old prophecies and recognize the baby as the King.

Jesus didn’t want his disciples to be so unprepared for the future, so he talked about it often. He told them about his death, but he also talked about the next time he would come for them. Similarly, God doesn’t want us to be caught by surprise when his Son returns, so he left his Word for us.
