THE GRIEVING MOTHER

Sweet Heavenly Father, You are our Alpha and Omega; without You, we are nothing. We graciously come before Your throne and seek Your grace and mercy upon this mother as she grieves the loss of her child. Where she is void of Your peace, fill her with Your comfort. Where there is unspeakable pain, dear Lord, be her balm to soothe and restore. Meet her in the very places of her need and wrap her tightly in Your restorative love. Send her community to tend to her physical needs: to sit with her, run errands, feed her, and pray for her. Draw her broken heart close to You, Dear Lord, and strengthen her mind for the days and weeks ahead. For You alone know the plans for her life, and we believe she will soon have days of joy instead of sorrow because You are the lifter of her head. And You do ALL things well. Thank You, Lord for your unfailing grace and mercy, in the mighty name of Jesus we pray and say AMEN!
