Good Callનમૂનો

Reading the Bible can feel intimidating sometimes. But one simple way of studying Scripture is called S.O.A.P. It stands for "Scripture," "Observation," "Application," and "Prayer." We'll show you how—it's easy!
S: Scripture
If you haven't already, read today's passage of Scripture. Then summarize it in your own words.
O: Observation
Read James 2:14–19 again.
- What stands out to you?
- What does it teach us about the connection between what we believe and how we live?
- What questions do you still have?
A: Application
- What's one way you're struggling to put your faith into action?
- What does this passage invite you to do differently in how you live?
- What do you think could change in the lives of those around you if you do?
P: Prayer
Spend some time praying about an area where you want to put your faith into action. Ask God to give you ideas of what that might look like and who could help. Then, say thank you for the patience God gives when we struggle to do what's right.

About this Plan

Coaches create the strategy, put together a game plan, and send their players out to make it happen. Wouldn't it be nice for someone to do that for all of our decisions? In this 4-week devotional series from Grow Curriculum, we'll explore Proverbs and Epistles to help us learn how God guides us toward wisdom and helps us make godly decisions.
