No.7 - A spiritual school

There are times when there is no sin in our lives, and we are not asking for something outside God's will; we still feel the Lord does not hear us. At such times, we are in God's spiritual school, where He teaches us about faith and a deeper life with God. There, God equips and prepares us to go out into a broken world and talk to people in pain, confusion, bitterness, suffering loss, and various forms of brokenness.

No.8 - Pray according to the revealed will of God in Scripture

Learn to pray according to the Word and God's promises and commands in the Word. God commits Himself to honour the promises in His Word. Often, we ask things outside God's promises in his Word. Sometimes, we even pray against clear guidelines in the Word. Make sure that your questions align with the Word and God's promises. So often, we hear people "praying God's promises," but they do not obey God's commands.

No.9 - Live with the light you have

Sometimes, we want to know far in advance what we need to do or what will happen. God sometimes gives a prophetic word to show us the way. The important principle, however, is to take one step at a time, to move with the light you have until God shows the next step. And if there is no further light, wait. Handle prophetic words, dreams and visions with great caution. It doesn't matter from whom the prophetic word comes. Prophetic words and extraordinary revelations must be tested again and again.
