THE STUMP AND THE ROSE

A thought to kick us off today:

Where there is a stump, there was loss of life for a tree. But where there are roots, there is the possibility for new life.

God is the God of second chances, but that doesn’t quite capture the whole picture. God is a God of the resurrection. He takes what is dead and He breathes new life into it. He makes what was broken whole again.

If today you find yourself in exile, remember that God is still with you even when you feel alone.

As you watch the video today remember t hat where there is cause for sorrow, there’s also an opportunity for flourishing. When our circumstances disappoint us because they don’t turn out as we’d hoped, there’s also no barrier to joyfully serving God today.

Out of pain comes glory. And out of death comes life. Immanuel.
