You Understand Me

Thank You, Lord, for Your work in me. You care for me and my concerns. You know me, even to the number of hairs on my head!

When You speak to me, You are precise and to the point. Any confusion I experience comes from the uncertainty within me.

Even after these many years, memories of certain childhood experiences inhibit my ability to trust You fully.

Still, Your faithfulness never wavers. Day by day, You reveal how my reasoning quells my faith. You don’t berate me for it; You simply speak to me. You know the depths of my inner battles. You helped me identify my weaknesses.

You understand how my reasoning generates anxiety and feeds my fear of the unknown.

You know how many times I have fallen into that trap!

Yet You never abandon me or condemn me for my foolishness. Ever so gently, You whisper in my heart and remind me that You care. How I thank You!

What tormenting thoughts drive your fears today?
