Introduction to the Gospels & Matthewનમૂનો

Matthew #2: The Kingdom of Heaven
This lesson reviews the concept of “the kingdom of heaven,” the Kingdom’s citizen criteria, and Jesus’ genealogies and birth account. In the Old Testament, Israel rejected God’s rule in their hearts and chose earthly kings to rule over them instead. This led to disaster and exile. Even after the exile, the true kingdom was not established in Israel. Then one day, John the Baptist comes to declare the coming of God’s man, the bringer of the Kingdom. Only a righteous person, repentant and reconciled with God, committed to Christ’s values can be a citizen of this Kingdom.

About this Plan

The first four books of the New Testament are called “gospels,” which means “good news.” They are fundamental to the revelation of God’s eternal plan to redeem and save lost humanity. They are often called biographies for they each tell the story of Jesus, his birth, ministry, death, and resurrection. The good news of the Gospels is that Jesus has come, that he is both Savior and King, and people can know this is true because God has raised him from the dead. This section specifically focuses on the longest of the four Gospels, the Gospel of Matthew.
