Faith & Love: A One Year Bible Reading Plan - Part 7નમૂનો

Back in the day, a fight between two swordsmen was a decision over life and death. It was crucial that in such a fight, every vital body part was covered with a strong piece of armour.
“Therefore put on the full armour of God, so that when the day of evil comes, you may be able to stand your ground, and after you have done everything, to stand.” Ephesians 6:13
In our lives today, our battles are not in the physical but in the spiritual. Paul calls us to put on a different type of armour when fighting against the spiritual forces of evil.
The armour of God.
It consists of:
- Belt of Truth
- Breastplate of Righteousness
- Shoes of peace
- Helmet of salvation
- Shield of faith
- Sword of the Spirit
When reading through verses 13-17, I was asking myself, which piece of armour is the most important?
What I found is, the most crucial piece of armour is always the one that is missing, as it leaves you exposed and vulnerable. A set of armour can only truly protect when it is complete.
Paul calls us to put on the WHOLE armour of God as it allows us to stand our ground in the face of evil.
When you read through Ephesians 6, which piece of armour stands out for you?
Is it because you feel vulnerable in this specific area?
Or is it because you feel very confident about it?
