Jesus' Suffering, Death and Resurrectionનમૂનો

Jesus put His life in God's hands
“Then Jesus, calling out with a loud voice, said, ‘Father, into your hands I commit my spirit!’ And having said this he breathed his last.” (Luke 23:46)
The Lord Jesus was the victim of political intrigues and unreasonable hatred. He was surrendered to the soldiers who nailed Him to a cross. He was deeply humiliated. Even His clothes were divided among the soldiers. All this happened exactly as He had foretold, but now He appeared powerless.
Jesus’ last words, however, show the opposite. He did not die from exhaustion. He very consciously committed His life into God's hands. He called out with familiar words from Psalm 31 that testify to His trust in God, whose power extends beyond death. Now that Jesus had accomplished everything and bore the penalty for human sin, He confidently surrendered Himself to His loving Father.
Sometime later, Stephen was stoned to death for being a follower of Jesus. With his last strength, he cried out, “Lord Jesus, receive my spirit” (Acts 7:59). He died trusting fully in Jesus, whose power extends beyond death.
To whom do you entrust your life? If you die today, can you confidently put your life in God's hands because you know He will take care of you right through death?
