What is this passage saying?
The Holy Spirit is moving through the apostles, and we are beginning to see the miraculous happen, first through tongues and now through healing. We see many of the same miracles Jesus did in order to further prove the validity of the apostle’s message. These miracles are always used to further bring glory to the name of God, not to bring praise to the apostles. This is not an earthly treasure, but a treasure so much greater than anything this world has to offer, Jesus Christ Himself.
What is this passage teaching?
Physical healing and the healing of man’s soul only comes through the power of Jesus Christ. We as sinners must arise and pursue holiness daily. Jesus is the only one who can take us from being crippled to leaping, being made whole in Him.
How do I respond?
It is only Jesus that saves and changes lives, do everything through His name and Power.
