Declaration: God’s Love Is Active, Personal, and Steadfast
God is love and love never stops loving. Examples of the breadth of God’s love include:
- God’s first words to Adam and Eve were words of blessing and dominion (Genesis 1:28).
- God clothing Adam and Eve with garments of skin after their betrayal of His love and trust (Genesis 3:21).
- God shutting the door after Noah’s family and the animals had boarded Noah’s ark (Genesis 7:15-16).
- God’s declaration in Isaiah 46:4, AMP: “Even to your old age I am He, And even to your advanced old age I will carry you! I have made you, and I will carry you; Be assured I will carry you and I will save you.”
- Jesus, The Living Expression of God made visible, reaching out and touching the leper and then healing him (Matthew 8:3).
- God’s sacrifice to redeem humankind evidenced in John 3:16-17, NIV: “For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life. For God did not send his Son into the world to condemn the world, but to save the world through him.”
