Your Father Sees You
Jesus told a parable about a young man who dishonoured his family by wandering off into sin. When life threw him on the scrap heap, his thoughts turned toward home.
So he got up and went to his father.
“But while he was still a long way off, his father saw him and was filled with compassion for him; he ran to his son, threw his arms around him and kissed him. (Luke 15:20)
This story is usually called; ‘The Prodigal Son,' but Jesus tells the story so we would know that God our Father is kind and generous. He sees us as sons and daughters, heirs of all He owns. The robe He puts on the son shows His absolute forgiveness. Then a ring is placed on his hand to demonstrate restored authority. So right now, honour that gift of righteousness, put away all condemnation, and enjoy the love of your Father. Touch the metaphorical ring on your finger as you bring your request to Your Father today.
