Wait patiently for the Lord, and He will hear your cry. Wait patiently for the Lord, and He will answer you. Wait patiently for the Lord, and He will strengthen you. Wait patiently for the Lord, and He will order your steps. Wait patiently for the Lord, and His Peace will rule your heart.

The Amplified Version expounds upon Psalm‬ ‭40:1‬ ‭AMPC‬ in the following manner, “I WAITED patiently and expectantly for the Lord; and He inclined to me and heard my cry.” The Lord hears you. The Lord will answer you.
