Pastor How to Read Lukeનમૂનો

Hi there, I thought I would take you along with me as I read my Bible every morning.
This is my raw commentary of what’s going on in my head and heart when I read my Bible. It is usually these raw thoughts that will eventually become sermons. So I guess this is kinda like the “Making of”.
The Word of God has transformed my life, leadership and relationships. I hope that these 30 days will have you cultivate a spiritual habit that will elevate your life too.

I am reading the Gospel of Luke 1:1-15,
14 You will have great joy and gladness, and many will rejoice at his birth, 15 for he will be great in the eyes of the Lord.
First thought – we all want to be great in the eyes of the world, in the eyes of our industry, career, family and friends, but the real question to ask ourselves today is – am I great in the eyes of the Lord?
Eyes – we like to pray that the ‘hand’ of the Lord be with us at all times but what about the eyes of the Lord to see us at all times… even in our personal private times.
Christians want the ‘hands’ of God, but not the ‘eyes’ of God.
Sadly, many Christians want a mighty God but prefer Him blind.
Second thought – to parents – Singaporeans want their children to be great in school but is our child also great in the eyes of the Lord? When we parents see our children through the eyes of the Lord, we will see them differently.
