Navigating Life's Transitionsનમૂનો

Jesus Is in Control
Jesus Christ is the same yesterday and today and forever. (Hebrews 13:8)
Consider for a moment something that has changed in your life during the past year. Now consider the changes (for better or worse) that you have seen in our world and culture over the past year. Finally, consider these comforting words: “Jesus Christ is the same yesterday and today and forever.”
The Heidelberg Catechism, a widely used teaching tool about Christian faith, begins with this question: “What is your only comfort in life and in death?” The first part of the answer states: “That I am not my own, but belong—body and soul, in life and in death—to my faithful Savior, Jesus Christ.”
Even when everything around you seems to be changing, you can find great comfort in knowing that the presence and promises of our faithful Savior Jesus Christ never change. His mercy and grace abound. He never leaves you.
When the transitions you face give you the sense that life is spiraling out of control, remember that Jesus is in control. Find hope and comfort in the Lord who is our rock, fortress, and deliverer (Psalm 18:2). Like a hiker who looks at a compass to stay focused on the destination despite the turns, remember in the midst of change to keep “looking to Jesus, the founder and perfecter of our faith” (Hebrews 12:2). Don’t try to control everything. Trust in our faithful Savior Jesus Christ.
As you pray, celebrate, and praise the Lord for his unchanging love and faithfulness.

About this Plan

All people go through transitions. These new seasons of life stretch our faith, move us out of our comfort zones, and create feelings of loss. Though transitions can be challenging, they can also bring new growth. In this four-day series, we invite you to look again at the transitions you are experiencing to see how God may be leading you.
