There's Hope For Todayનમૂનો

It’s an odd collection, I’ll grant you that – and I really can’t tell you why I haven’t tossed it out. I’ve kept a bag full of extra parts from all of my “some assembly required” projects through the years.

I’ve got screws and dowels, cinches and anchors, tabs and plugs, bolts and hinges for desks and chairs and shelves and stands. I stare at this odd collection, poured out on my desk, and smile at the knowledge that almost everything I have ever assembled is missing a critical part or two. I struggle with patience. I’ve done a fair amount of backtracking in my time.

In the body of Christ, there are no “extra” parts. Every person has a place, a calling, a perfect fit. The secret of abundant living is to find that place and integrate one-self with a Kingdom motivation and shared purpose.

Don’t waste your time trying to hammer a square peg into a round hole. You might finally achieve your goal, but the splintering pain and ultimate disfigurement of forcing the issue will leave you with a lonely question: Why?

Find God’s place and purpose. The process isn’t always simple and trouble-free, but the peace He gives when we have found His will is well worth the journey.
