Upside Down - Kingdom Livingનમૂનો

"From Delight to Blame"
To:
Gen 3:11 He said, "… Have you eaten of the tree of which I commanded you not to eat?" 12 The man said, "The woman whom you gave to be with me, she gave me fruit of the tree, and I ate."
In the purity of the Garden of Eden Adam greeted his wife with delight; “At last is bone of my bones and flesh of my flesh.” And then immediately after the fall is blame… in contemporary language, Adam completely threw Eve under the bus. “The woman who you gave to be with me…”
And there in lies the impact of the fall into sin on our relationships with each other. Delight is no longer the norm… blame, in many forms, is now the impulse of the heart of fallen man.
The last six of the Ten Commandments instructs us to go against our native instinct and to love our neighbor in many forms. Love is now taught to our heart by the Holy Spirit. It is a growing and sometimes painful experience turning blame back into delight.
Reflections:
1. Recall when someone has delighted in you.
2. Recall when the Lord taught you to delight in another.

About this Plan

Jesus taught us that to follow him, we must often live opposite to our culture; he turned the rules upside down. This 12 day devotional dives into what it means to live Upside Down in a kingdom that isn't definied by race, status, circumstance, gender, or geography, but by a love of Christ. Can we really live a life surrendered to the prayer "Thy Kingdom come, thy will be done on earth as it is in heaven"?
