James and John enticed their mother to ask Jesus if they could rule with Him. Jesus took the disciples aside and said, "Gentile leaders lord it over their subjects, not so with you." He was illustrating that leadership in the Kingdom of God would be different. As men, we are called to lead, but we must focus our attitudes toward humility and servanthood. Children are a blessing from the Lord, no matter the circumstances surrounding their birth (Psalm 127:3).  If you are a father, thank God for it and decide right now that you are going to be what God wants you to be in your children’s lives, a visible, tangible illustration of Him, no matter what choices you’ve made to this point.  Being a good father really is not as complicated as you might think!  All you have to do is love your children like your Heavenly Father loves you.
