HOW TO USE THE GREATER MEETINGS:

These four topics were designed to fit together for a complete message. It’s not recommended to skip any of the topics completely. If you need to cover the contents in fewer than four meeting times, you may decide to focus a bit more on one or two topics while hitting the highlights in the others. The theme for this year is GREATER. We play with a new purpose: He must become Greater, and we must become less.

Greater Meetings

As a young father of two precious children, Tommie Harris Jr. lost his wife to a brain aneurysm. At that point, he had to learn to stand on his knees. Tommie was a chubby kid, a high school athlete, a college football All-American and an NFL star. He learned to play through the pain at every level. This plan is the fourth of five in the series.

Tennessee Volunteers basketball coach Rick Barnes helped inspire this plan. Athletes in Action worked with him to talk about the importance of taming our tongues. This is very important for Christian coaches and athletes to understand. The ideas from this 4-day plan will work in practice, games, or life to help you live a life of integrity in this world.

This eight-day plan identifies FCA’s values as Christian athletes, coaches, and staff. This plan offers insight and godly wisdom for each of our values:  Integrity, Serving, Teamwork, and Excellence.  As you read through each value, imagine how you can play or coach your sport with a Christ-driven mindset, then take the challenge to play and live for Him, our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ!
