In this 21-day devotional, which coincides with 21 days of prayer and fasting, you'll discover the ancient practice of Lectio Divina, a method of praying through Scripture that invites you to slow down, reflect, and encounter God’s voice. Whether you’re familiar with Lectio Divina or not, this journey of praying with the scriptures will help you connect with God in a deeper, more personal way.

In His most familiar prayer, Jesus uttered a four-word "dangerous prayer:" "Your will be done" (Matthew 6:10). It takes trust in God's goodness and faithfulness to pray for His will in our lives. I want to invite you to have the same heart and desire as Jesus and to follow His lead in these four words: "Your will be done."

This plan is intended as a guide to help you discover the message of Mark’s Gospel for yourself! Grab a notebook to jot down your thoughts as you are led through a process of: (1) observing the Gospel of Mark; (2) interpreting the original message to the church in Rome; and (3) applying the Gospel’s timeless truths to your life today.

Read through the entire book of Mark and get to know Jesus more deeply. He is the unexpected suffering servant who shows us the heart of God. Each day includes scripture, devotional, focused reflection questions, general reflection questions, and extra helpful background info for those who are new to the Bible.

Jesus said that we will know the truth, and the truth will set us free (John 8:31-32). Yet our enemy, the devil, is bent on twisting God’s truth in his all-out efforts to "steal, kill, and destroy" (John 10:10). The epistle of Jude exhorts us to contend for truth.
