No matter where you are in your faith journey, the Easter story has the power to change your story. In this seven-day Plan we’ll walk with Jesus through the events leading up to His death on the cross and His resurrection. Along the way, we’ll explore how His words and actions invite us to know Him, follow Him, and experience His love in a personal way.

This Easter, we are looking at everything Jesus said on the cross leading up to His last words. What do they tell us about who He is and what He did for us?

In Last Words of Jesus, we will walk through each of the seven final phrases uttered by Jesus in the moments leading up to His death on the cross. These beautiful and sobering words have the power to shape our understanding of Christ and all that He endured on our behalf, preparing us to further celebrate the miracle of Easter.

Arrested in that garden, Jesus endured two sham trials and the most unjust verdict in all history. The Creator of the cosmos, crucified by His creatures on a hill outside Jerusalem. From that awful site, Christ would speak His “last seven words.” You’ll find reflections on each of these seven words in the following pages. As you read these devotional articles, we pray that you’ll ponder their significance and gain encouragement from the promise of the hope that blooms eternally.

The crucifixion and resurrection of Jesus are described in each of the four gospels. This Easter, read about how Jesus endured betrayal, suffering, and humiliation on the cross before changing the world through the hope offered by His resurrection. A short video illustrates part of the story for each day of this plan.

Over these 7 days, we are going to focus on the seven sayings of Jesus.  We want to go to the cross and we want to draw some principles, some disciplines, and some habits that we can begin to implement in our lives to help us grow stronger in our walk with the Lord. We want to zoom into these sayings and pay attention to the words not of a dying man but of our Lord and Saviour.  Join us on this journey together as we approach Resurrection Sunday 2025.
