We all have our little morning habits. We could also call them routines, the first things we do in the morning. Throughout these seven days, I’d like to propose a series about these first moments, these first actions, these first thoughts of our days. We will discover how we can create habits to develop our spiritual growth.

When a person comes to know Christ there are steps that the Bible gives to help them understand their new found life in Him. If you have made Christ Lord of your life, then welcome to the family of God. This devotion is a brief overview of the gospel message and will help build the foundation you need to establish your new life in Christ.

Do you have the feeling that no one really gets you—even your friends? Do you long for close relationships, but haven’t been able to find them? Not only does God promise to be close to us, he also provides companionship—and through his church, he even gives us a family.

We sometimes think of the Holy Spirit as a “lesser” part of the Trinity. In truth, the Holy Spirit is a living person with a mind, a will, and emotions. Each name that He has been given—Helper, Comforter, Advocate, Intercessor, Counselor, Strengthener, and Standby—reveals another aspect of His beautiful character. For the next seven days, we will explore the wonder of this constant companion—Jesus in us.
