In this seven-day plan, we’ll travel with Moses from Egypt, through the Red Sea, and to the foot of Mount Sinai to extract wisdom for our work from the exodus!

The Virtuous Woman - Serving & Teamwork Bible study seeks to encourage women to serve others and work together to accomplish a common goal. Serving & Teamwork is modeling Jesus' example of humbly serving others while expressing unity in Christ. This study was written by Alexandria McCraney, who lives in Arkansas with her husband and kids, serves with FCA at the University of Arkansas.

The Bible is a compilation of 66 books. Each book has an overarching theme. Multiple stories and texts in each book point to an attribute of God. When these themes are recognized, they help us understand the message of that book better. It also allows us to see how One Single Story is woven from beginning to end. Ultimately, each theme will enable us to understand Jesus and why He came.

When we are hurting or going through a difficult season, we might feel alone and abandoned. It might feel as if God isn't listening to our cries for help or that He doesn't care about our pain. Yet, throughout Scripture God communicates that He is with us, sees us, loves us deeply, empathizes with our pain, and still has good plans for us. He invites us to draw close to Him in times of hardship, receive His comfort, and hold tight to His unchanging truth.

You may not think you’re capable of doing bold and brave things, but the women of Exodus 2 show us that everyday women can choose to follow God in extraordinary ways. Dive into the stories of Shiphrah, Puah, Miriam, and Jochebed and be encouraged by their resolve to enter into unthinkably hard spaces to protect baby Moses. Little did they know, their protection of this child saved an entire nation.

Human relationships are almost always messy because people are involved, but God isn’t people. God is God. He is completely, TOTALLY different. If our relationship to/with Him is ever messy, it's only because we made it that way. We invite you to put aside any assumptions you've made about God and let Him speak for Himself. We think you’ll find that He is much easier to trust than people.

In part one of this seven-part study through the Book of Exodus, we'll explore Exodus 1–6:5.

We all have excuses as to why we cannot move when God tells us to. “I’m not qualified” or “I’m still getting training in that area”. We think that our limitations are God’s limitations and we stop moving. In Plan 4 of Learning from the Old Testament Greats, we see Moses’ journey from fearful to faithful. We learn from his life how one “grows as they go”.
