Welcome to the Life on Mission devotional. We can often get overwhelmed with the demands of life and chaos of our world. We quickly forget that God has a mission for us while on earth. There are amazing things for you to see, do and accomplish and God empowers you to do all of them. This devotional is meant to get your life out of a rut and onto God’s mission for your life. Every third day there will be a “mission” for you to apply to your life. We’re God’s people, on a mission, to reflect his goodness to the entire world. Let’s do this!

Using the metaphor of Jesus as the breath of life, this plan explores a variety of Scripture passages centered on Jesus’ commands to pray without ceasing, to give sacrificially, and to serve the least, lost, and overlooked. By breathing in Jesus and His teaching, we’ll be better prepared to breathe life and hope into our world.

Nehemiah and Esther stepped into God’s purpose in uncertain times. Nehemiah rebuilt Jerusalem’s walls, while Esther risked everything to save her people. Through their stories, we see God’s sovereign hand and our call to build with faith. This study reminds us that God places us on purpose for His plans.
