Joining Jesus in His Ongoing Intercession
Many believers imagine Jesus’ work finished at the cross, but Scripture shows He is still working in heaven, not through preaching or miracles, but through intercession.
“He ever lives to make intercession for them.”
(Hebrews 7:25)
Right now, Jesus is praying for you. His ministry in heaven is ongoing. He is standing before the Father, mentioning your name, your struggles, and your destiny. His prayers never fail.
That’s why He can save “to the uttermost” — completely, perfectly, and continually, because He never stops praying.
Intercession, therefore, is not just something Jesus did; it’s something He does. And because we follow Him, we are called to do the same. Every believer shares this calling to pray for others, to strengthen their faith, and to partner with God in bringing heaven’s will to earth.
When you pray for your family, your church, or your nation, you’re not praying alone. You’re joining the Great Intercessor.
Bible Reading: Hebrews 7:24–25; Romans 8:34
Reflection Question:
- How does knowing Jesus is praying for you change the way you face challenges?
- Partnering with Jesus, who will you intercede for this week?
