AlwaysNäide

It’s one thing to believe that God is with us. It’s something else altogether to be aware of and feel God’s presence in our lives. It’s the difference between head knowledge and heart knowledge. We may believe concretely in our minds that God is with us, but it’s not until we begin to embrace that truth in our hearts that we become more aware of that presence all around us. In the kind words from a friend, in the stillness of a quiet night, in the rain that hits the windows on a peaceful morning, in the warmth of the sun, in the hugs from our kids, in the love of our spouse—we can find God every day in all kinds of ways. All we must do is open our eyes and our hearts to see it. Once we do, we’ll never forget that God is with us always, and we’ll never miss a moment of His presence around us.
Challenge yourself to become more aware of God’s presence in your life. In big and small ways, what examples around you demonstrate the truth that God is with you always?

About this Plan

As humans, we all wonder what God is really like? Is God kind, loving, powerful, attentive, loyal? Is God distant, unfair, harsh, judgmental, or absent? In other words, we’re asking: what can we be sure is always true about who God is? In this devotional, we’ll look to Scripture to explore those questions and ground the answers in unshakeable, unchangeable truth, uncovering more about who God is and why we can trust Him not just now, but always.
