This passage clearly promises that when man believes in God, through hearing and believing, there is eternal security. Believers are guaranteed freedom from God’s judgment because of their faith in Christ. The words “security” and “guaranteed” are chosen purposefully because we do not need to be concerned about losing our salvation and going to hell. Christ’s sacrifice brings us from spiritual death to everlasting life with God forever. We did nothing to earn it, and we cannot do anything to lose it either.
Because of Jesus' death on the cross, we can rest assured that we will spend eternity in heaven with Him!
