Matthew 28:19 tells us of the Great Commission that Jesus gave to all of His followers. This command is that we should teach all nations about Jesus and baptize them in the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Ghost. He not only commanded us, but He also exemplified how it should be done by being baptized himself!
If Christ felt that baptism was important enough to be baptized Himself, it should be important to us as well!
