Eternal Promises of HeavenNäide

Our Heavenly Bodies
A body like that of our resurrected Savior!
Much speculation has been offered about what those who populate heaven will look like.
The Bible makes it clear that Christians will have corporeal bodies that are recognizable, but, thankfully, our new bodies will be free from the limitations that our earthly bodies have. The limitations on our body are temporary limitations if we’re Christians. We’re going to be changed.
At the time of the Rapture, we’re going to experience that moment. At the resurrection of the saints, we are going to receive our heavenly bodies. Resurrection is more than resuscitation; it’s transformation. I’m talking about the physical transformation of all followers of Jesus.
The resurrection of Jesus Christ from the dead provides the proof and the pattern for what’s ahead for all His children. We’re told that Christ “will transform our lowly body that it may be conformed to His glorious body” (Philippians 3:21). Our new bodies will be…
·INCARNATE – The word incarnate means in the flesh—a real, physical, bodily existence.
·IDENTIFIABLE –We will instantly know and be known by our loved ones.
·INDESTRUCTIBLE – Our bodies will be totally resistant to deterioration or decay.
·ILLUMINATED – Our bodies will shine with light like Moses’ face did after being with God and like Jesus did on the mountain.
·INCREDIBLE – Our resurrection bodies will be astonishing; they’ll be full of energy, bursting with enthusiastic power, and perhaps capable of extraordinary functions.
·INFINITE –The basic difference between a natural body and a spiritual body is that the former is suited for life on our current earth, but our spiritual bodies will be suited for eternal life in heaven with God—including the new heaven and the new earth.
