How Christmas Movies Can Connect Us to God & the Bible—Film & FaithNäide

It's A Wonderful Life
Christmas wouldn't be the same without watching It's a Wonderful Life.
As an adult, this classic film means something different to me. It actually helps me to appreciate God more.
It opens the door to talk about so many things...even though the film might get it wrong.
Firstly, I love Clarence, but we don't need an angelic mediator to talk to God when we receive Jesus, who is our true connection to God.
Secondly, it teaches us about forgiveness, specifically for our enemies. It is the key to peace.
I'm so grateful to God for forgiving me.
Next, it reminds me that my plans might be good, but God's plans for me are better for everyone.
Finally, I need to be thankful.
Even in dark times, by fixing my eyes on Jesus, I can thank him for my wonderful life.
