The Power of Godly RelationshipsNäide

If you are in an emotional storm, you may have a Jonah in your boat. Perhaps you need to throw some people off your boat. Toxic people are those who are always negative, they break you down, corrupt your values, and they suffocate you emotionally. These “emotional sappers” always make you feel like you’re walking on eggshells when you’re around them and they oftentimes manipulate and control you.
If you got these folks in your boat, it’s time for them to be shown an exit. Learn to highlight the relationships in your life that may be toxic, and more importantly, learn to disconnect from them.
Even Jesus removed negative people out of the room before He prayed for the dead girl. Toxic people are emotional sappers and they suck the life of others.
Let’s not forget, it was a “friend” that betrayed Jesus and set Him up to be crucified. Don’t let toxic people stay in your life, they will crucify your emotions.
Prayer and Confession
Lord, I pray that You would begin to disconnect people from my life that are not causing Godly growth within me. Highlight people in my life that are affecting me negatively, and give me the strength to cut ties with them.
