Through My Father's EyesNäide

Day 5: My Child
When Jesus taught his disciples how to pray, he began by showing them how to address God as Father, saying, "Our Father, who art in heaven." He didn't refer to God as our master or our king, even though God holds those titles. Instead, Jesus emphasised God's role as Father to remind us that we are His children.
When God set out to create His family, He envisioned you as part of it. Your unique qualities, such as your quirks, laugh, personality, and gifts, were all considered. God didn’t aim to establish a religious institution filled with rules and rituals, with Himself as a distant deity in need of our worship. His vision has always been to form an intimate family, rooted in love and a relationship with Him and His other children. God desires to be the ultimate Father to you—providing, protecting, instructing, disciplining, and loving you as you grow into the person He created you to be.
Too often, we measure our heavenly Father against our earthly fathers. We take the imperfections and shortcomings of our earthly fathers and project those same flaws onto God. However, it should be the other way around. God is the ultimate Father; He is the gold standard of fatherhood that all other fathers should aspire to emulate. Knowing God as Father is a privilege that many do not experience. Imagine being nurtured by the most powerful, loving, and wise being. God the Father wants you to experience this firsthand within His family. He gladly calls you, "My Child."
