Paul gets really clear here: “It is God’s will that you should be sanctified: that you should avoid sexual immorality.” Sometimes we wonder, What’s God’s will for my life? And here it is spelled out. God’s will is that we live set apart, honoring Him with our bodies and our choices. Instead of being driven by passion or impulse, Paul calls us to live with self-control—seeing our bodies as vessels of honor, not objects of selfish desire.

This isn’t about shame—it’s about holiness. God isn’t trying to rob us of joy; He’s leading us into life that is full, whole, and free. When we live with self-control, we reflect His character and show that our lives are guided by something deeper than momentary urges.
