Over the next 25 days, we’ll read through the books of Colossians and Ephesians. These letters to Christians in the first century hold powerful truths for us today, reminding us what is most important about God’s plan and our part in it.
Read Colossians 1:1-14.
As Paul begins his letter to the church in the town of Colossae (in modern-day Turkey), he says, “So we have not stopped praying for you since we first heard about you. We ask God to give you complete knowledge of his will and to give you spiritual wisdom and understanding. Then the way you live will always honor and please the Lord, and your lives will produce every kind of good fruit. All the while, you will grow as you learn to know God better and better.” Colossians 1:9-10
Are there parts of this prayer that you want to ask for – for yourself or for someone else?
Would you like God to give you complete knowledge of his will and spiritual wisdom and understanding? Would you like to always honor the Lord with how you live?
Take a moment to pray. Be honest with God, confessing that you need his knowledge, wisdom and understanding.

About this Plan

Here's the deal. You were not placed on this planet for nothing. And you also weren't placed here for just anything. God created you with a specific plan in mind: to worship and reflect him in all you do. That is your purpose. And while it might seem daunting to live a godly life in today's culture, rest assured -- you are right where he wants you. You were made for this. This reading plan will guide you to read through two books of the Bible (Colossians and Ephesians).
