DAY 5 OF 7

DAY FIVE: BEAUTY FROM BROKENNESS

THE WORD

  • Psalm 34:18 – “The Lord is close to the brokenhearted and saves those who are crushed in spirit.”

Brokenness is not the end of you — it is the place where God’s beauty begins to shine. Like a jar of clay, our cracks become the openings through which His light flows. Your bruises are not evidence of weakness but proof of God’s nearness and power.

The Spirit teaches us that God draws especially close to the brokenhearted. He does not avoid our pain; He steps into it. He restores, redeems, and makes all things new. Nothing in your life is too broken for His hand to heal.

Your scars tell a story, but they don’t define your future. Brokenness is the soil where resurrection power grows.

DECLARATIONS

  1. I declare that my brokenness is the place where God’s glory shines.
  2. I declare that the Lord is near to me in every bruise and scar.
  3. I declare that my cracks are channels for His light.
  4. I declare that nothing in my life is beyond His redemption.
  5. I declare that God is making all things new in me.

PRAYER FOCUS

Father, thank You for being close to the brokenhearted and for saving those who are crushed in spirit. I give You every broken piece of my life and trust You to bring beauty from it. Heal me, restore me, and let Your light shine through my scars.

Holy Spirit, remind me daily that brokenness is not the end but the beginning of Your glory. Fill me with hope and faith that You are making all things new. Let my life be a living testimony that even in brokenness, I am still called, still chosen, and still loved. In Jesus’ name, Amen.

About this Plan

Bruised Yet Called

Bruised Yet Called by Marcus Mooki reminds us that scars don’t disqualify us—they prepare us. Through the stories of Joseph, Moses, David, and Esther, discover how God turns pain into purpose. Each day offers Scripture, teaching, declarations, and prayers to strengthen your faith and bring healing. Even when life leaves you bruised, you are not forgotten—you are chosen, anointed, and still called to walk boldly in God’s purpose.
