Call Into the Unknown

"Call to Me, and I will answer you, and show you great and mighty things, which you do not know." Jeremiah 33:3 (NKJV)

Reflection

Often, we feel stuck between God's promise and our present reality. We know His Word declares in Jeremiah 29:11 that He has a hopeful future for us, but the obstacles before us can make it hard to believe. Many times, the questions we ask - "Why me? Why now? What's wrong with me? What did I do wrong?" - don't lead us into breakthrough. Instead, they trap us in fear, frustration and overwhelm.

God invites us to shift our questions. He calls us out of stale thinking and into new perspective: What do I know? What is God already doing? What is He growing in me? When we reframe our focus through the lens of love and growth, renewing our perspective, we will begin to see that even in uncertainty, He is shaping something new inside us.

And that "new" is not small - it's the seed of a transformed life waiting to break into fullness. Will you dare to believe He is doing something mighty, greater than you can ask, believe or imagine, even now?

Activation

Take five minutes today to list three ways you've seen God at work in your life this week. They don't need to be dramatic or big - look for the small patterns of His goodness. As you do, notice the new questions that rise in your heart when you shift your focus to what God is doing rather than what He's not.

Perhaps you saw Him (or felt Him) in your child's smile, as their eyes glimmered and your heart recognised the depth of His immeasurable love moving through your family. Maybe a friend's encouraging text message reminded you of the light you carry into the world. It could have been the butterfly that fluttered past this morning, catching your attention and whispering of your ongoing transformation. Or maybe it was the warmth of sunshine on your arm, illuminating the quiet strength you bring into the presence of others.

Looking for Him in the little and the everyday is a powerful first step in opening your heart to the MORE and discovering the beauty of who you are becoming. Each small glimpse is a signpost, drawing you deeper into the new creation He is forming within you.

Prayer

Lord, I choose to call on You today. Open my heart to recognise the new thing You are doing in me, and give me the courage to step into it with faith. Amen
