The Generosity of God

DAY 16 OF 30

God Gives More Grace

God triumphs not by might, but by grace.

No matter how bad or dark or hard life is, there is enough grace for today. Grace for your assignment. Grace for each challenge. Grace in every struggle.

God’s grace is a gas tank that never reaches empty. It’s an ocean that never runs dry. It’s a feast that never ends. It’s a fire that never dies.

When you failed again, he gives more grace. When it feels like you can’t beat sin, he gives more grace. When your suffering doesn’t end, he gives more grace.

God is the source of second chances, the creator of clean slates, and the giver of grace. He is an inexhaustible supply of what you and I need most. God even sits on a throne of grace and invites us to come boldly before it. Oh, how freely and regularly we would come to God in prayer if we could believe he gives more grace.

This grace is free, but it’s not cheap. On a day in history two thousand years ago, just outside of Jerusalem, the Son of God hung on a Roman cross. In agony, he gasped for breath. With nails in his hands, he cried and prayed. The disciples couldn’t see it in that moment, but he was the price of grace.

The grace God offers you was purchased. The price has already been paid. This good news goes out to the nations. Jesus gives more grace.

Father in heaven, I ask you to transform our minds to believe you are generous toward us. We need your grace in our abundance and in our needs. Show us who you are and pour out your grace in our lives today. In Jesus’ name.
