A Disciple's JourneyNäide

Review Questions for Week 1
- How have you been growing in Christ this week? What have you been learning?
- What are some ways that following Jesus has changed the course of your life?
- What is one thing you can do to encourage or help someone in the church next week?
- To the best of your ability, did you maintain the habits of a healthy Christian this week? If not, what is a meaningful step you can take next week toward acquiring each habit?
As you reflect on question #2 above, play the “what if?” game for just a moment. Imagine how your life would be different if, when Christ said “follow me,” you had responded “no thanks.” Where would you be? What would you be doing? Where has following Christ taken you instead?
What an incredible privilege and adventure it is to get to follow Jesus and see the power of God at work in our lives. When you’re following Christ, you get to see people healed and restored. You get to see people delivered from the power of demons. You get to see people forgiven of sin. You get to see people raised from the dead. There is no limit to the power of Christ! As His disciple, you get a front row seat to this incredible adventure. You get to take a journey unlike any other—the disciple’s journey.

About this Plan

Before going on a difficult journey, you need to have a plan. You also need to find people headed to the same destination, so you can encourage each other, train together, and prepare for what lies ahead. That is what A Disciple’s Journey is designed to provide. Each week, you will follow along with the apostle Peter in his journey of discipleship. With each step of his journey, we can find resonances with our own and wisdom for how to navigate the Christian life.
