House of David, Season 2: Trusting God in the Middle of the StoryNäide

Do You
So you trust God, but do you trust who He’s called you to be? When Saul tried to put his armor on David, it seemed logical. Goliath was a giant, and David needed protection. But David quickly realized: “I cannot go with these, for I have not tested them.” He refused to fight in armor that didn’t fit.
Here’s the lesson: God anointed you. Not the version of you that looks like someone else. Not the copy of another’s calling. The real you. He wired you for your assignment, with the strengths, weaknesses, and story you carry.
We waste too much time wishing for someone else’s armor. But if their way was the way, they’d already be walking it. God hasn’t called you to be a knockoff. He’s called you to be an original.
David didn’t need Saul’s sword, he needed faith in God and a sling in his hand. That was enough. And so are you.
Reflection Question: Have you ever been tempted to imitate someone else’s calling instead of walking boldly in your own? How can you trust in who God has called you to be?
