Day 12: God Loves, So God Gives
At the heart of the Gospel is this simple truth: “God so loved the world that he gave his only Son” (John 3:16). God’s love is generous and self-giving. He does not hold back but pours Himself out for us.
When we tithe and give, we imitate our Heavenly Father. Giving is not about what God wants from us, but about what He wants for us —a heart that learns to love as He loves. Sacrificial giving stretches us beyond comfort and teaches us to rely on God’s faithfulness.
Jesus preached about money so often, not because He needed it, but because He knew how tightly it grips our hearts. Giving releases us from the illusion of control and frees us to love more deeply. As we learn to give generously, we begin to reflect the heart of God: a heart that loves, so it gives.
Questions
- How does God’s example of giving challenge your view of generosity?
