Perseverance & Endurance - Holding Onto Hope in Times of ChallengeNäide

Gardening is a therapeutic pastime, but it is also riddled with challenges. It doesn’t matter what you grow, it seems you are always up against the elements - sun, water, wind, pests - if it is not too much of one, then it is too little. Plants can teach us a lot about perseverance. They need good soil, good nutrition, the right sunlight - but even all of that is not necessarily a recipe for success. And for some species, it is actually when the plant is stressed that it produces the best fruit. It is the same for us. Challenge can be good soil for producing good fruit.
As you read today, ask the Lord to continue to strengthen you "according to his glorious might so that you may have great endurance and patience". (Colossians 1:11)

About this Plan

No-one likes to suffer. It isn’t a pleasant experience. It is painful, uncomfortable and a place to get out of as quickly as possible. However, there is one thing Jesus promised that we often skim over - ‘In this world you will have trouble.’ – John 16:33. So, what is our stance when trouble comes our way? Let us take a journey into what it means to persevere and endure so that when we face times of testing, we do so with the right heart posture.
