Rooted in Your True Identity

DAY 3 OF 5

Righteous in Christ

Even after many years as a pastor, I find myself still apologizing, repenting, and receiving correction. I’m grateful for the righteousness of Christ because Jesus is perfect, and I am definitely not! In Him, we are more than forgiven; we are declared righteous. He became sin so that we could be made right with God. That’s why we can live not in fear but in power, love, and self-control. Our identity is not based on our record but on Christ’s perfection.

Quote (John Piper): “Christ did not die to forgive sinners who go on treasuring anything above seeing and savoring God.”

Respond to God’s Word: Reflect on where fear or self-doubt creeps into your life. Declare instead that you are righteous and empowered in Christ.

About this Plan

Rooted in Your True Identity

So many people search for identity in their careers, achievements, titles, or the recognition they receive from others. But those things can fade, shift, or be taken away. As followers of Christ, our true identity is anchored in something unshakable: who we are in Him. This plan will walk you through Scriptures that reveal what God says about your identity and how to live from that place of truth.
