DAY 10 OF 14

AS FOR ME – I’LL GIVE THANKS

How does a heart of thanksgiving change me and shape my perspective?

Jayce Gorsch | Suncoast Church

This scripture speaks perfectly into giving thanks in all circumstances because it’s God’s will for our lives, but it's not that simple, right? When life goes bad, it can be rough to be thankful. When you didn’t get the grade you wanted or needed on that assignment, when you’ve had a bad day, the friendship isn’t going well, or family life is rough. So how can we be thankful in all circumstances? I don’t think God is calling us to be thankful when home life is tough, our friendships aren’t going great, or when we didn’t get that job. But what God is calling us to do is to give thanks to God for what’s going well in our life, all good things come from God, so we should thank him for that, but also in the tough times thanking Him that because He has a greater purpose than what is going on and that God will work it all together for good and for His glory! Easier said than done, so here are some practical steps to give thanks in all circumstances

APPLICATION:

1. Ask God where He is in all our circumstances.

2. When life is going great, be honest with God (He wants to hear about

your life from you!) and thank Him that He is always there for you.

3. Get into community! Sometimes it's hard to see where God is in all the chaos, and this is where community will help guide you and help you to see where God is in all circumstances. Youth leaders and mentors are great for this!

About this Plan

As for Me - Post Youth Camp

The altar was only the beginning—now it’s time to walk in the power of your “yes” to God. This Bible plan will help you live out Joshua 24:15: “As for me…” Each day will stir your faith, strengthen boldness, and ignite a fire to stand for Jesus in your family, school, and generation. Through prayer, Scripture, and the Holy Spirit, you’ll be equipped to live unshaken. Camp lit the flame, but the fire is meant to fall in daily life. You are marked, chosen, and anointed to live with purpose and power for such a time as this.
