Welcome, Mama!

Thank you for joining this 5-day devotional introduction to Blaze: Encountering the Fire of God. In this study, we’ll explore the fiery character of God as revealed through The LORD in the Old Testament, the Son in the Gospels and Prophets, and the Spirit within us under the New Covenant. Fire appears throughout Scripture as a symbol of God's presence and power—purifying, guiding, and igniting His people.

As a busy mama with three littles under five, working part-time, and navigating life as a military spouse, I’ve often felt anything but radiant. Impatient with my kids, short with my husband, or simply drained by the end of the day—I’ve known the flicker of burnout. But my heart was crying, “Lord, there has to be more. Moses was radiant after encountering You—I want to shine like that.”

Mama, do you want to blaze too?

Jesus said, “I’ve come to set the earth on fire, and how I wish it were already ablaze!” (Luke 12:49 ISV). And again in Revelation, “Because you are lukewarm... I am about to spit you out of my mouth” (Revelation 3:16 NIV). We’re not called to be dim or dull—we’re called to burn bright.

“You are the light of the world... Let your light shine before others, that they may see your good deeds and glorify your Father in heaven” (Matthew 5:14-16 NIV).

Beloved, let’s raise our spiritual temperature and live blazing with the Spirit for the Kingdom!

Moses’ face began to shine after his mountaintop encounter with God. Can you recall a specific moment when you felt spiritually radiant?

Prayer:

Father, thank You for loving us so fiercely that You burn with passion for our hearts. Jesus, we are so grateful that You made a way for us to be intimately connected with You. Spirit, would You empower us to burn brightly in our homes and beyond, radiantly reflecting Your image. Amen!
