Whose Am I?
We have established that stress is a weight we weren’t meant to carry…along with being overworked, overscheduled, and overwhelmed. Perhaps much of the overwhelm, stress, and “noise" of everyday life is because we aren’t focusing on whose we are!
Rather than identifying with a position, societal status, or with duties, we need to adjust our focus and realize that our true identity is in whose we are, regardless of our circumstances and despite what others think of, or expect of us.
If you sincerely desire to understand your significance and your eternal value, you must start by examining the motives and character of the One who created you. You were (and are) chosen…God’s special possession (See 1 Peter 2:9).
If you earnestly thirst for relief from stress and its weighty sidekicks, you must build the foundation of your life on something that is both divine and eternal. God says powerful and glorious truths about you as a woman!
So, let’s delight in our value as women made in His image, and then discover how to overcome issues in our lives that have seemed to negate our intrinsic worth and significance. It is time to be the woman that God created you to be!

I have learned, over the years, not to say yes to something just because it makes me feel more important. I remind myself that my importance in God’s kingdom is not based upon what I do but upon who I am in Christ.
As a woman and fellow traveler along life’s busy road, let me encourage you to decide what kind of life you want to live and then to say “no” to everything that does not align with that life.
