What the Bible Says About ... Volume 2

DAY 182 OF 183

The LORD's Promises

He did not waver through unbelief regarding the promise of God. … He has given us his very great and precious promises.

Abraham, who had embraced the promises, was about to sacrifice his one and only son, even though God had said to him, “It is through Isaac that your offspring will be reckoned.” Abraham reasoned that God could even raise the dead, and so, in a manner of speaking, he did receive Isaac back from death. … Fully persuaded that God had power to do what he had promised. … For I tell you that Christ has become a servant of the Jews on behalf of God’s truth, so that the promises made to the patriarchs might be confirmed.

Have faith in God. … Without faith it is impossible to please God, because anyone who comes to him must believe that he exists and that he rewards those who earnestly seek him.

Is anything too hard for the LORD? … Ah, Sovereign LORD, you have made the heavens and the earth by your great power and outstretched arm. Nothing is too hard for you. … With God, all things are possible. … For no word from God will ever fail. … For no matter how many promises God has made, they are “Yes” in Christ. … You know with all your heart and soul that not one of all the good promises the LORD your God gave you has failed. Every promise has been fulfilled; not one has failed. … The LORD is trustworthy in all he promises and faithful in all he does. … Lord, increase our faith!
